ARS CAM-24PRO PRUNING SAW
These are the Japanese pruning saws we use to prune our Ume, Yuzu and other trees at the orchard. They are really sharp and cut so fast with less effort. The efficent blade length means it's very manoeuvrable in tight spaces. The sheath is great to store and hold the saw, making it very safe to walk around the orchard.
Manufactured in Sakai, Japan by the ARS Corporation which have been making highest quality garden pruning tools since 1876.
ARS first introduced the Pull Saw deslgn (cuts as you pull the saw) and are considered makers of the finest pruning saws in the world.
The ARS CAM-24PRO is a fixed 24cm saw blade professional grade complete with high quality sheath which has a guiding roller to allowing the smooth removal and insertion of the saw without damaging the sheath.
The sheath can be waist belt mounted (right or left handed) or leg mounted. The waist belt mount has a click in mount so you do not have undo your belt to take the sheath off.
The sheath has a very nice locking lever you depress with your thumb as you are extracting the saw from its sheath (you can see the lever in photo 3 at the top above the ARS logo).
When inserting the saw into the sheath, it will lock in as you push the handle down into the sheath mouth.
Saw weight is just 280g and the rubber coated ergonomically designed grip offers even greater ease of use. Overall saw length inc handle is 414mm.
ARS only use highest quality thermal treated high carbon steel (surpassing Japan Industrial Standard) then hard chrome plate and impulse hardened the blade.
Taper ARS turbocut teeth result in long lasting sharpness, clog free sawing and a perfectly smooth finished cut.
ARS Pruning Saws will not tear the wood like conventional saws, they cut like a knife.
